bluethunder28 wrote:#37: Is there a F-86 displayed in Inyokern? There may be one displayed at a “Budd McGhee Air Park”. Can you confirm?

It appears that 5026 left China Lake in the late 1990s to the Budd McGhee Air Park collection in nearby Inyokern. The USAFM acquired the F-86 and it was moved to Wright Patterson AFB, from here it was delivered to AMARC. 5035 left China Lake and eventually ended up at the Southern Museum of Flight, Birmingham, AL. The main fuselage was restored to display condition using the tail from another F-86F. It's original tail is what is now at AMARC.

Google isn't showing a Joshua Tree Airport. Could you give me directions or coordinates?
Found it! Since you seem familiar with the French Valley Airport, can you tell me which hangar belongs to the Wings and Rotors Museum?

On Sunfair Road about one mile north of Highway 62; coordinates are 34 9'14.50" N, 116 14'51.33" W.Found it! Since you seem familiar with the French Valley Airport, can you tell me which hangar belongs to the Wings and Rotors Museum?
Actually I'm not familiar with it; I found it while Googling for BD-5 images. So I called French Valley Aviation at the airport and the operator said it was in Hangar 2-D. Hope this helps! Here's their local EAA chapter:

(I know somebody who works at the Marine Corps base and I'll ask him if he's seen an A-4 there. I haven't seen one in town, but I usually just go through the center of town on Adobe Road to get to the drive-in theater.)
