What is the single engine fuselage at the 24:00 minute mark with the right landing gear wheel facing inward? Looks familiar, but I'm drawing a blank.

Funny how we seem to get the same videos popping up on YouTube! I wonder why...

I did wonder about security at the site, I know it's quite remote but I imagine not all that far-off the beaten track for the determined ne'er-do-well. I found it on Google maps a few years ago without too much difficulty and spent a while trying to count the B-29s ..

The P-40 and "Spitfire" (Yak?) fuselages are presumably film props?

I reckon the P-40, B-25 and Spitfire fuselages at 11:20 are 'Pearl Harbor' studio props, based on a) the a/c types and b) the faded but legible paintwork as well as the dodgy looking exhausts on the Spitfire.

Lots of interesting stuff - two B-29s, Harpoon, Lodestar fuselages, A-26, B-26 nose, a bunch of B-25s, Sabres, PT-26 and Beech 18 among them, plus various engines, turrets, landing gear, etc. I thought I caught a glimpse of some A-20 parts, but that may be wishful thinking. There are some interesting looking cuffed propellers around the 26:11 mark that look like they could be from a P-61 but again, that might be wishful thinking.

I got halfway through it when I got distracted. It was a great video, I wonder if there's a way to still get a copy from the author. Their yard is even more amazing than I'd imagined.

Unless there have been new laws since my Journalism law class days, I don't know what he could be sued for if they were taken with a drone.

Airplanes are intimate objects and have no expectation of privacy.

There is a California environmental group which photographs the coastline to check on erosion and buildings. A well known singer sued them for showing her huge compound, citing invasion of privacy...
She lost.
I can't imagine a judge or jury would be more sympathetic towards a bunch of obsolete aircraft.

If someone is that concerned, they should be covered.
After all, aren't they visible on satellite images...or passing aircraft?

I hope Aero Trader has more of the "King 9" Twlight Zone B-25 than just the forward fuselage..it is a rare C (D) model.
Unless it is in very bad shape, I would have thought someone would have restored it by now considering its (relative) fame and rarity.

Yes they were, but I would imagine a cockpit section would be used for studio work (back projection etc) and that presumably would be in Hollywood?

I believe all the shots involving the talent being filmed "flying" the P-40s and Spitfire were done in Hollywood with full scale mockups (I think maybe without the tail?) as they were mounted on a revolving gimble from the rear, to allow them to film barrel rolls, banks, etc, more easily. Trying to find a picture somewhere online but can't at the moment.
