A number of you have raised questions about the F-86H fuselage that is listed as part of the my late father Dr. Walter V. Powell's aviation collection (Western PA Warbirds Museum) at auction near Mercer, Pennsylvania on July 18th. IT is NOT the same aircraft that was once on display at Valiant Air Command in Titusville--that static display restoration was moved to the Western PA Warbirds Museum and then later sold. The more recent F-86H front fuselage, as is, was a more recent purchase, and your comments on its origins have been helpful.
Appreciate also the chatter about mislabeled parts (and instruments). The P-47 cockpit windshield has been corrected, with serial number noted. And some others. There will be quite a few F-86 parts at this sale, without adequate time to list them online, or necesssarily describe them--so all the more benefit to those that can attend. Keep 'Em Flying, Folks! Regards, Dr. Walter L. Powell
