More STUNNING images! Thanks!

What version of the Vengeance is that with the 4 blade hydromatic, and unusual cowl/exhaust setup?

i really enjoy those O-47 photos. i don't know why that big fat ugly thing sends me so! i was at the NMUSAF a few weeks ago, and a guy was on the other side of the rope sniffing around the wings of the O-47, we got to talking. he said he was looking for evidence of gun, he was coming up zero. he seemed skeptical and was about to dismiss it when i spotted what i thought to be a cartridge ejection chute underneath so i was feeling pretty good about myself. and here it is big and on display. neato.

I've only seen one other photo of one in NMF, but it looks like one of the five R-3350-17 with 4-blade Ham testbeds, the YA-31C. Part of the B-29 development program.

Planes of Fame Seversky AT-12 Guardsman. Still in the exact same markings today but with a better polish job.

The Mars photos are fantastic. Was that just a publicity stunt or something more?

A couple more Hans Groenhoff Smithsonian shots of the Flitfire Cub on its photo sortie over the Statue of Liberty and off Manhattan and Staten Island in 1941 with some photoshop repairing (nice find of Mark Allen M there !!)
