Hello,

For our A26 Invader airworthy restoration project, I look for a supplier of "ELASTIC STOP NUT ASSEMBLY CHANNEL", of course, we have hundreds of different length feet references but it still lacks that we would need . This one is special, the shape is V as shown in the picture.



These strips are used in the rudder.

If someone could tell us the address of a provider that would help us a lot. Thank you in advance for your help.

Look at MS21063 thru MS21068. Not nylocs, but are standard steel locking elements.

Do you have the part number out of the manual? Maybe there is a modern equivalent that I can cross-reference?

Thank you for your answers. I only have the reference that is on the original Douglas microfilm, see the photo.



We have many of these referenced channel (MS21063 till 065) but none with these V forms. This is why we are looking for a supplier.

Christophe: That channel looks like MS21067 or MS21068, both of which are for countersunk screws.

The Douglas number is most likely an internally fabricated part, with 22 G5 defining the basic channel size, the 02 defining the nut spacing and the -10 or -12 being screw size

MS21066 (now NASM21066) has an aluminum channel and a steel nut. It is meant for countersunk screws.

Stock length is 72 inches.

-08 for #8 screws
-3 for #10 (3/16") screws
-4 for 1/4" screws

Second dash number indicates spacing:

-5 = .625" spacing
-6 = .750
-7 = .875
-8 = 1.00
-9 = 1.125
-10 = 1.250
-11 = 1.375
-12 = 1.500 etc.

Here is my final answer...

Part number 22NG5-02 was made by ESNA, or the Elastic Stop Nut of America company. According to the attachment .jpg, this is an NAS1040N.

Here is the current ESNA catalog (http://spstech.com/web/user_content/sps ... atalog.pdf), although that part number has undoubtedly changed over the years. You might want to contact them and see if they can give you a copy of the old ESNA drawing.

Thank you for your help is invaluable. With the information you have given to us, we are looking on microfilm and seek the necessary lengths, it takes a little time, there are many drawings (14 000) . In a few days, we shall give the lengths we need.
