Information regarding the Thunderbirds and other Air Force assets in this story:
http://www.airforcetimes.com/article/20 ... /310240013It would appear that among other items we cannot expect Air Force aircraft as static displays at civilian air shows, Opens Houses/Air Shows at Air Force Bases and installations may happen in some cases but not all, and that single ship demos may or may not happen next year.
Sounds like overall better than this year from the standpoint of Air Force support for air shows, but a lot less than in prior years. With the budget constraints on individual bases, it is not clear that there will be very much money available to attract civilian acts and warbirds to fly at military bases that do hold air shows. Hopefully at least a few big shows like Nellis and Andrews will be able to bring in some civilian warbird acts to enhance the show like the Ace Maker T-33, Randy Ball MiG-17, The Horsemen, Collings Foundation, Warbird Heritage Foundation, etc.
