I am thinking of the pilot presumably still on board.
The photo reminds me of "the Last Enemy" by Richard Hillary but I suspect the pilot never made it that far.

That photo has been published in countless books, and most of the time it's captioned as a Judy, so it's understandable. Of course, there's this equally well known Kamikaze photo that is definitely a Judy, which may be where the confusion comes from.

Interesting that he has the flaps down--or are they dive brakes? I suppose slower meant greater accuracy, as well as more vulnerability to AA. Me, I'd sure want to get it over with as fast as possible...
