Where is Canadair SAbre 23096?

Wed Aug 03, 2011 10:39 pm

The aircraft was delivered to Boeing as N8686F #1 in dec 1967. She went to Flight Systems as N74180 #2 in 1974 ...there was a sale reported in 1996....then?

Still carried on the USCR, but as Sale reported, no new owner...

Thanks for the help

Now resting on the floor of the Great Gallery @ MoF back in Canukican markings and lookin' just fine. She was used sparingly when a spar crack was found and retired/donated to MoF when the Big B got their F-5, I'm lookin' @ a photo I took too many years ago @ AIR FAIR @ KPAE with 8686, Ben Halls A model and Paul Entriken in his Mig 15 chasing each other across the clouds.

Inspecor,

Thank you for the reply! Now the c/n of the one in the MOF is given as 1153, and that is RCAF 23363....but where is the other one...RCAF 23096 c/n 886? Both aircraft were registerd in a very confusing fashion.

23096 c/n 886 was registerd 8686F on 21.12.67
23363 c/n 1153 was registered N74180 in 69

Then they changed places in 1974...

23096 was reregisterd N74180 on 26.7.74
23363 was reregisterd N8686F on a similar date

363 eventually stayed at MOF...
096 was at Flight Systems till 96...?
