The guy that posted those pictures on the Corvette forum is "Green Goggles", a member of our forum here. Hopefully, he'll be along to answer any questions.

Spotted the B-29 influence years ago. Seems like another of the Star Wars spaceships used the tail of an F-5/T-38. I always liked that aspect of the movie.

The queens transport ship in episode 1 looked similar to an SR-71, at least to me.

I always thought that the cockpit area of the X-Wing looked like ME-109 inspired

After further consideration, I think it would make an excellent boat. ;)

re: Star Wars
anyone else notice the old ejection seats used in the movie? Look like old F-4 seats to me...

A few years ago the History Channel ran a series called "Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed" whose promotional posters purported to show the process by which the X-wing fighter was evolved from -- a T-6! Or maybe it's a Wirraway.

That one, I have to say, I never quite bought.

i do know that almost.., verbatim.., both the fighter scenes and the run on the Death Star were taken from "Dam Busters" and "633 Squadron"

I like the ultimate re-fit of the nose section of the B-29. Anyone know the history of her!

I'm pretty sure the two seats in the Millennium Falcon cockpit are de Havilland Vampire bang seats.

Cheers,
Matt
