Chev engine improvement to a ford, Hmmm, not if a ford guy hears that.
Theres lots of ford powered items that are beating chev powered ones too. So best to give them all the same recognition, there is no this is better than that, its all what the owner of the thing feels is better.

I like the tshirt idea, and I'll buy a few. The idea I like even better is a calendar. With all the great photogs her on WIX, surely someone could make it out to Austin Acres and catch Stratolina in some good poses :shock: Now there's some aviation porrnn I would pay for!

If Gary would be willing to pose in a few with some half-buttoned overalls we could market them to our wives...

I hate myself for where I'm going with this....and Gary, I'm sorry. It's just the 'Biggest Ego on the Ramp' (I know some of you will get this...) in me.

But Lloyd didn't race Baby Gorilla at Reno in 1976. He had an engine failure climbing out over the Tehachipi range on the Monday morning after the Mojave races in June, and during the emergency landing the gear collapsed....and it wasn't able to be repaired in time for Reno in September.

I'll furnish the catering for the photo shoot, and we'll focus on the airplane. Who can furnish the artwork for the tshirt?

I have no problem being corrected when I'm wrong. I just know my first year at Reno was 1976, at an age of 6. And while this picture may be from '77 or maybe even later, I was always under the impression it was taken during 1976 and that this was Baby Gorilla. (and yes, that's me standing next to my Granddaddy in front of the airplane).............
