Ok,
I have a question, that maybe someone can figure out for me. I am updating my BT-13.com website and I noticed that the aircraft
http://www.bt-13.org/42-1744/42-1744.html on my site, is the information that the gentlemen who owned it, sent to me just weeks before he crashed with his son in Conn.
Now, I looked up the N# on the FAA site, and the serial# information is not what he sent me, it lists the BT-13A as being manufactured in 1945, which cannot be. So, does the FAA just put on the registration information from whatever the owner submits, or do they or are they supposed to research it from the dataplate from the aircraft?
