I'm just winding you's all up. Sorry chaps. Didn't mean to be offensive.

That's a good way to do it. That's probably nearly as bad as lumping you in with the (my edit to humor JDK )! Or, worse.

I don't see how this is more dangerous then Patty or Sean doing a Lomcevak at a few hundred.

So, you don't have air pockets, downdrafts or wind shear in the USA then? Or any other hazard which might suddenly see that wingtip touch the ground sending the aircraft cartwheeling into the crowd then?

An "air pocket?" I think thats what the media calls "turbulence". Windshear and downdrafts are similar and all happen with weather not conductive to airshows in the first place. Even if he was at a comfortable 50 feet some unnamed hazard (phenomenon) may still get him! Hell, why dont we call off ALL airshows as most airshow performers get as close to the ground as him, they just do it in little extras and pitts so its not as dramatic.

Mod post: OK guys, good humour, but let's keep clear of politics and nationalisms, even in jest.

Some good views on the topic, politely expressed, and no one's suggesting sanctions, just observations, which is fair enough.

Thank you.

And, speaking personally, no one's suggesting cancelling airshows or the like - we all (I assume) want to see them continue. As Jack said, we just don't want to see anyone ex- on the evening news.

Regards,
