P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

..that is the question. Where I acquired it the odds of a connie being there are very slim although you never know.

Does it have conventional butterflys or a couple of louver type air flow controls?

The Model PR-58E5 pressure carburetors were used on various engine models of the R2800. The Part No. 391395 designates the specific engine model. The assembly manual for the pressure carburetor would have the differences in parts and settings that would be defined by the part number of the assembly.

The Lockheed C-121-A with R3350-75 engines required Model PR-58D, Part No. 391280 pressure carburetors.

If we had photos of the two models there are likely differences that could be seen. Does anyone have a photo of the PR-58D?

Good luck on your sale of the pressure carburetor.
