They've just acquired an OV-1 Mohawk.

Hmm. I'll have to ask my friend up in Reno if he gave me the wrong info  , He is the one that works on all of the Cactus Airforce Planes in Carson City. Boy if he is wrong I'll guess I'll make him buy the first round! :D

Mike is correct, it was an OV-1. A friend of mine prepared and flew it from Opalousas, LA, to Chino over the course of last fall and winter. From Muddobbers to a failed engine, it sounds like it was quite the adventure!

Would love to bag a ride in an OV-10 again. Was assigned to the 27th TASS, 602nd TACW at Geroge AFB CA 86-88. Was a great airplane, loved the rides I got in them. Was amazed at what she could do, we had a pilot that could take that bird to edge and beyond.

The OV-10 is amazing! I've seen that thing do tactical landings. DJEES! It came in for landing with the nose pointing straight down! And it stopped on a dime. WOW!

Thanks Scott,
I've always had a soft spot for the Bronco. My Stepdad flew the OV-10 in VMO-2 in SEA. His first tour flying UH-1s ended in his after being shot down for the fourth time on Thanksgiving Day 1968. He is a member of the OV-10 pilots association and helps with the birds in Texas when he can. He has a few hours in their ex-Marine Corps example.
Here is one of his shots of the VMO-2 flightline DaNang, Viet Nam..
