Going to Chicago for the weekend; my wife is going to a cosmetology show (hairshow  ) there and I'm tagging along. I think I can get her to go to the Science and Industry Museum with me one of the days, but I need something to do while she's at the convention (probably Saturday). Any ideas? Think airplanes. I'm willing to drive a couple hours out of town if necessary.

Thanks!!

How many times do I need to tell everyone... CHECK THE LOCATOR!!! ;-)

EDIT: I changed the link to work with the new version.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

I now have a new feature available to the Locator. Here is a list of site the Locator has within about 100 miles of Chicago...
http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php ... geCoor=100

Of course if anyone knows of any others that are not listed, please let me know so I can add them to the Locator.

The Indiana Aviation Museum is closed for the season. However, try giving them a call as they do allow visits by appointment during non-normal operating hours.
