Yup, just got the Argo/Yamato. Star Blazers is second only to Robotech in my list of favorite Anime.

Yes I totally agree, but only series 1 with the Veritech fighters. Series 2 and 3 weren't so good.

Series two and three aren't even Robotech, the third one is Mospeadia or something like that. They were two seperate series licensed by Harmony Gold and re-dialogued. You should see the original Japanese Robotech, way more gory and violent. The male and female Zentraedi are actually involved in a viscious war as opposed to just be estranged in the American version.

Hi Tom,
I've got my little guy so excited about airplanes that it's just not right not to let him have some fun with a couple of my models. He has a couple of his own to keep him happy, so the rest stay on the ceiling or in their boxes. I used to get nervous when he wanted to touch and play with them, but now I get down on the floor with him and try to answer all his questions..........Sincerely, John

Great picture John...you can always replace a model but never your kid's childhood..let them enjoy and learn. That's how most of us got here posting messages and replies because of someone's generosity long ago let us enjoy this hobby. Great looking pick-up!!.....Tom

I can't seem to afford a warbird either but I hold out hope even at my age. I volunteer at the Lone Star Flight Museum so I get to touch and feel
and twist a few wrenches on them.
Funny thing about your truck, when I was a kid growing up in North Louisiana in 1947 army vehicles were sitting everywhere and cheap. They
made wench trucks out of deuce and a halfs and half-tracks. Ammunition carriers, jeeps and pick-up's like yours could have been picked up for a song and you didn't even have to carry a tune. I learned to drive in a jeep, I would love to restore one now. I keep an I eye peeled on the want adds...Tom
