There was a replica Stuka flying a few years ago in the Ukraine (I think).

The one mentioned previously is owned by a member of a Luftwaffe re-enactment group which also has a full-scale Bf109G replica (powered by a Ranger engine) on the go.

Check them out at:

A few closeups of the Chicago airplane from the Kamm Collection. These were taken at Hales Corners WI in 1975 and 1977.

I know that this is a thread on Stukas, but since Chicago has figured so large here, how about a picture of their biggest war prize in her new crypt ?

Here are a couple I shots from the same visit when I took pics of the Stuka and Spit (November of '05.) Even with a wide-angle lens, it's almost impossible to get the whole thing in the picture. It's great to see her inside out of the weather. I understand some of the hull plating had been rusted away to a quarter of its original thickness.

I thought that HA 1112 was used in a trade?

When did U-505 get a roof over it's head? I'm very happy to see that!

I like the JU-87 there, at least you can see it, it might not be under a spot light but its not in the dark! But I'd love to see it lowered some so you can see it better and ... I guess i'll never be happy
