I’ve received an email from someone restoring a Stinson L-9 (10-A). They need some drawings of the horizontal stab.

Any leads or ideas?

EDIT: Changed post title.

The Historical Aircraft Squadron still needs you help!

Ron has some pictures here. Any help would be most appreciated!

The CAF Keystone Wing in PA is doing a similar aircraft, but HAS needs info on the Civil Air Patrol bomb rack.

Smithsonian has L-5 drawings. Do they have these?

Possible.

Although I’ve heard that what is being offered now is *only* for research, not for restoration to flight.

The Smithsonian doesn't have any L-9 engineering drawings. I checked.

Last June, I talked with a guy in North Carolina that had four Stinsons 105's /10A projects of which one was supposed to be an L-9. Maybe he can loan you the parts so you can duplicate. Can't seem to find his number, but will keep looking.
We got interested as a few of these were built here in Nashville. If I find my file I'll forward you his info.

I found the name and number of the guy who has three or four or these aircraft as basketcases: Doug James, Raleigh, N.C. (919) 557-3257 or (919) 656-2662. He had three or four of these that he bought as basketcases in Ohio.
I talked to him about a C-150/150 project he was building up and some other aircraft and he seemed like a pretty decent guy.
Good Luck!
