It's the frozen eagle syndrome... when in the midst of the grey and cold days o' winter we look at the sky and lose hope of a day nice enough to fly, we look at the credit card statements from Christmas and lose hope of a wallet fat enough to fly again...
But then we usually get a glimpse of someone living in the South and soaking up the sun and we get up the gumption to get in the air just so we can fly down there and kick their a$$ outta jealousy!
'course, the South has been getting snow and cold... so what's it all worth anymore! (cue violins).
That's awesome about this weekend though! Time for me to start thinkin' about finishing that IFR rating!
But first, gotta renew the medical... or as I like to call it "sit in a room for an hour while a sour conservative British doctor that flies a Bonanza preaches to me about how unsavory my tattoos are..."
We missed ya! Welcome back!
Ha ha, what's he know about your tattoos? They're amazing.
Luckily my medical is still current, yay for that. I just need to get everything wrapped up and start working towards my CFI and Instrument ratings. Need to fly much more frequently.
Yeah, those darn southerners (*cough* Trae *cough*) enjoying their blue bird days, while I slowly gather mildew up here!

And you're absolutely right about the credit card statements, etc., but gotta keep moving forward with it.
Good luck with your IFR stuff, keep me posted! Thank you for your kindness! Glad to be back!
