I'd give Albert Stix a try if you haven't already. He's the one that saved all those Emerson turret parts in St. Lous from the scrapper. It appears Emerson made some Martin 250 CE upper turret parts and I know Albert has come across a few while doing his inventory.

If it is the same turret that we have, let me know. I think that we had some extra parts laying around for it. Our website is www.olddominionsquadron.org and just click on the "Martin turret" section.

What color/type of paint did you use on the power box under the seat? Where did you get the snaps that mate the cushion to the seat itself? I am working on one for a Lockheed PV-2. Thank you.

Just a heads-up to let you know I sent you a P.M. yesterday on another contact for parts.

PJ,

The Martin 250 in these photos is one I put together at least a dozen years ago for the CAF Wing in Waukesha, WI.

http://www.cafwi.org/gallery.htm

I didn't shoot the paint on it, but pretty sure the box under the seat became green.

I do remember that the original wood seat was rather warped over the years. If you're going to be allowing 21st century gunners (just a wee bit heavier than those of the 1940's) to use your turret, you might consider going with a slightly beefier product for a replacement.

Thanks, Dan. The current paint color of the box is sort of a cross between olive drab and khaki. Any source for the snaps? The wooden seat has one set , but the new cushion will need mates.
