Dang...as you can see from my pic, I need one of those to fill a hole in my Springfield "collection"

I suppose I shouldn't tell you I also fired a M-79 grenade launcher and the M-60 on a night shoot.
I still have the M-79 casing and the belt of 7.62 I fired. You should have been an AO remember
Always Outstanding. On the boat I was on the SAF team and went TAD to the armory.
I shot everything they had. Everybody loves M2 but dragging them around the boat sucked!

Our AO's did not get to do fun this like that. most of the time they just sat around picking thier nose and crack or each others.

I've always wanted a Krieg but I'm not holding my breath on that. An M1A is something I dream about, that is truely a beautiful thing! I don't see anymore guns for me for a while, I just don't have the fun money for that and if I do I will put it into some camera equipment, I use that far more!

Or you could of got stationed with a Naval Special Warfare command.

.....if you like weapons, their armories are like toy chests. Everything under the sune, Guns-O-Plenty :D . And not to mention they are always going to the gun range. So personel have more than enough opportunities to shoot if they want.

I bet you'd have to iron your uniform and make sure your boots where polished, That would have taken out all the fun, what little there was, out of the Navy. I would not have given up working the deck for NOTHING! Not that I wanted to stay in any longer than I had to but I made the willfully choice a deployable squadron over several shore duty sets of orders. I don't regret it at all. I also worked night shift as much as I could, far less Zero's running around and you could also get things down.

Jack I think that's the most unintelligent thing I've seen you write. I thought we were talking about weapons here.

I guess that's what I should expect from a "brown shoe"

The SEAL Teams may not own any aircraft but I saw (and got to fly on) lots of aircraft while with the teams, on a daily basis. SH-60s, CH-46s, CH-53s, CH-47s and C-130s. Even saw one of the new V-22s playing with the SEALs. Not just for Jumps but for insertions, extractions, fast-roping, SPIE rigging (verycool to watch),duck drops and so on

All I'm saying is don't knock SPECWAR unless you've tried it.

I'm neither knocking it or trying it either :!:
Clint Easterwood said it best "A man's got to know his limitations!"

Except the flight deck at night business. I was always in a prepetual state of scared sh*ttless. Someone once said that fear is just a heightened state of awareness. Well, I was plenty aware. :hide:
