The winter weather is getting to me here in Texas so I will be starting another project! Going to start a Curtiss Robin survivors page. Any help with info or pics of surviving airframes would be great!

Dan,
There is a person by the name of Jim Haynes who has been tracking Robin's for over 20 years. His father owned one and he is restoring a Challenger powered Robin. Just last week he sent out his annual newsletter with a list of Robin survivor's. I also own an OX-5 Robin N64H. It is currently undergoing restoration and is approxamately 3 yrs out. Jim Haynes has two e-mail addresses they are as follows:
robinest@bushnell.net
robinest1@mindspring.com
I can also supply you with information

THANKS, JIM! Sounds like a GREAT resource. I'll drop him an email. Would be fun to show pics of your project in the listing under your airframe, Jim. Please pass one on if you dont mind. Looking forward to seeing a list of survivors.

Thats the ad that started me down the new web page project! A friend of mine and I were emailing back and forth about that ad and how that would be a fun machine to own!

Thanks for the links, Don. I think I have pics of it at Oshkosh. I'll be sure to ask you if I think I want to use any of your pics from your web site.
Being that your there... I still need a few other pics of machines at your airport for my other web sites. Will send you a PM.

Don,
Another Robin that has been on the market in the last 30 days is Ron Waldrons N781M c/n681. It is a J-1 Robin with a Wright J6-5 engine. If you are not aware Robins came from the factory with Curtiss OX-5's, Curtiss Challenger's, or Wright J6-5 engines. Ron's contact information is as follows:

Dan,
Other than my father's Tank powered Robin that BDK and Don noted, there's another project Robin in John Cournoyer's hangar. It was down for re-cover when John purchased it. I'll try to get some photos for you. My father in law owned a half interest in this one back in the mid 80s when it was a flyer. Do you have the last edition of "The Robin's Nest" that was published? If not, I can try and find a copy for you. You know me, always interested in St. Louis built planes. I'll do what I can to help with your page. Albert

You probably have this one but I took this at Old Rhinebeck October 2006.
By the way this is my first attempt at uploading pictures so keep your fingers crossed.
