BUT, it is a but, I have USAF wings on my flying suit and nobody ever told me anything about them over here or across the border.
I have a CAF flight jacket and I only miss one patch now. I have the rank insignias, the wings (old and new) and a squadron patch (438 Sqn.) and I'm waiting to find one for the CH-146.

I had a friend yesterday gift me a green winter weight flight jacket which I was SUPER excited about... but I want to make sure I have things right before I start buying patches for it.
I know (it's sort of obvious) where the name plate goes, and if I am correct the US flag goes on the left arm?
The right side is really where I have the problem, there is velcro in two spots, one looks like a spot for a squadron patch but I am not sure. The other is a velcro spot of 3.5" x 3.5" any idea what goes there?
He also suggested that I buy my first set of wings for it... are there private pilot wings?
I hate to sound so ignorant about it, but this is the first flight jacket I have had, and I would just hate to put anything on it that:
1: Is in the incorrect place.
2: Is inappropriate for me to wear.
Etc... anyhow, if any of you can help or answer some questions that would be fantastic!
Thanks many times over!!
