I know this island group has 80 or so islands with about a dozen major islands making the bulk of the group, but anybody know which one has the badly decomposed F4U1 sitting in the mangroves?

I'd probably fall off my couch if the cbs survivor show gang stumbles across that piece, or any other wreckage where they filmed.............

What's left of that one is on Efate Island in the Quoin Hill area. The center stripped section and outer wing panels are all that remain. I would LOVE to get some decent shots of that plane. I have two small, and very watery looking jpegs that I received from an enthusiast in Vanuatu what was trying to sell the plane a few years back on Barnstormers! :D I've since lost contact with him, and his e-mail address no longer works. His name is Kaltak Kalsakau if anyone has the inclination to try and locate contact info for him. The original photos scanned for the jpegs I received would be very telling of the extent of the remains.

Gentlemen:

I saw the ad on Barnstormers a few years back too. The gentleman wanted $300000 for this wreck. I sent him an email, and he said the local gov't on Vanuatu comissioned him to sell the wrecks. He also sent me a puicture of one in shallow water that was intact.

Thanks,

Chris
