Unfortunately he doesn't. He bought it about January '90 in Colorado Springs from Whitey Wannamaker(spelling?). Registration was N60794. He sold in mid-'93 I guess it was. It's tough for me to remeber these things as I was just a little elementary-schooler. Not sure where it is today, but FAA listing says Washington State. I'd be curious to see if anyone has recent pics.

If so i would like to know more about it pm please.

I'm sorry Col. I do not know much about that aircraft. Those pictures were sent to my father back in the early-80's when he was still very active with warbirds. He cannot remember who sent them, but he is going to try to dig up the letter. All I know is those pics are in Alaska circa-1982/3

If I'm looking at the right picture, it is a Grumman Guardian. Used to be owned by the EAA for a short time, but I think it is now owned by Jimmy Leeward down in Florida.

Steve

Does anyone know what is going on with this aircraft? I didn't know any where in "private" hands. I know the CAF, Pima and the USN Museum has one. Any others hiding under rocks (if hiding from the Navy I don't want too know  )

I talked to Jimmy about his Guardian last year. He said he hasn't flown it recently because it needed the oil cooler overhauled, otherwise it's flyable.

That's all I know...I swear.
