For those who may be unfamiliar with the Air America Foundation, we are a 501(c)3 based out of the Space Coast Regional Airport (TICO) in Titusville, FL. next to the VAC. We are restoring a C-123 to her former glory, dressed in Air America livery with the goal or touring her on the airshow circuit as a flying museum dedicated to telling the story of Air America during the Vietnam war.

We are actively seeking new members and volunteers. If you live in the central FL area and want to get your hands dirty and work on a neat old bird, here is your chance! All volunteers are welcome, regardless of age or skill level. No experience is required! We have a very diverse crew of all ages working on the old girl, including a number of “kids” from Embry Riddle who regularly volunteer their time with us.

For more information about AAF and to volunteer, check out our website http://www.airamfoundation.org/

Our C-123 54-674 is an actual combat vet, serving tours in Vietnam, and later was involved in the Iran-Contra affair. And like many combat vets, she has the scars to prove it! Just one of the over 20 patches to be found on her…

November 18th was a milestone for both 54-674 and the Air America Foundation, as -674 now has a new home! Through diligent work and gracious donations, we were able to construct a new pad for the old girl, and now she is finally home and on “solid ground.” It’s been a very long time coming! Below are some of the pictures taken during the big move, enjoy!

Where exactly are you guys located? I just added your organization to the Florida section of the Locator, but I don't have any coordinates for you.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Mike, we are off the left side behind the VAC. Simply walk straight through their museum/hanger until you're outside, turn to the left, and there we are!

Hey Trevor,

Say "yo" to Maddog for me... He'll prolly grumble a bit about me, but let him know I am still alive and miss getting the Provider Weekly since my old email is not active anymore... pass along my new email if you could, I don't have his email now.

Great to see it on the pad... AAF has some of the hardest working and passionate folks out there and its great to see some good movement! Hope to see her in the air soon!
