My Grandfather was a squadron leader for the 424th squadron in wwII based out of Skipton on Swale. one of the aircraft he flew was NB 347 QB-P so I'm modeling one in an attempt to do a big art print when its finished, and present it to him, and get him to sign one for me.

heres the start of the bump maps

Exceptionally well done. Everybody check out arai's link to his site, too. He has other great stuff on there.

What 3dcg program are you using?

thanks guys,

bdk, that image you posted is just of an aircraft I designed/made up. Its the same with the next gen fighter you can see on my page that is pretty early on, I just started working in 3d and made something I thought looked cool.

made some progress on the lanc. still really early.

Tom, the bearcat looking aircraft was something I made up in my head, then modeled in 3d for fun.

Holy Jumpin' Catfish! Superb! Amazing! Your work is absolutely first rate, Arai; if you hadn't indicated they were CGI I would've guessed they were photo's of high-quality, large scale models or the real thing. Peter Jackson should hire you to do the Dambusters' remake!

Outstanding!

Neil H.
