It'll be heading to Douglas, GA. I'm not sure of the exact ownership details, but the first thing that they plan to do is put on a couple of zero time engines & props, and new fuel tanks.

May I assume Don Brooks is the buyer?

The owner is B25 Partners, LLC, or something like that. I'm still not thinking too straight - I'm in withdrawal after spending the weekend at the Great Georgia Airshow up in Peachtree City.

Tom Reilly is going to be doing the work on it.

Once the work is done, the airplane will back up for sale. It should be in pretty good shape, when they are done.

I imagine for quite a bit more than the $375,000 it was listed for at Courtesy.

It's still here in Douglas. They are currently prepping the new engines for installation.

The latest edition of Aircraft Illustrated here in the UK says that this B-25 may be heading to the Dixie Wing of the CAF ~ based at Peachtree.

It goes on to say that their "RAF Expeditor" may be moving on as a result.

I would add that ~ given that this squadron is actively involved in selling rides with their P-51 and SDB, getting a larger warbird to take more people for rides seems like a good idea !

I think one of the caf general staffers that posts here mentioned the caf might be adding a seventh b-25 several months ago.
