Where is this wreck located?

It' sad. The reading I've been doing suggest the museum has remained abandoned since 1999 and the aircraft are now left derelict. Anyone have any better information on this?

From Justin Taylan's site:
During the Guadalcanal tensions of 1999-2000, the museum was neglected and overgrown. Today, locals maintain it during periods when Japanese or American tourists visit the area.
You see? Your fears were completely unfounded! All is well with the 'Canal collection, as well as Swamp Ghost...
...as long as the tourists bring cash.

Where is this wreck located?
I have a original photo of this P-38 after it was ditched. They're getting reading to hook it up to a Cletrak and drag it ashore. It was assigned to the 44th FS and was taking off when it #2 propran away. The was pilot Lt Blakeney if I remember correctly.

Jack and Bill thanks for the additional photos.

I don't think Bill's photo (very cool BTW) is of the airplane has it wasn't pulled from the water till the early 70s. What you don't see in mine is that they gave up and had it dragged out a little offshore.
