B-17 - 401st Bomb Group

Hey Everyone! It feels good to be back! I haven't been on in very long time, but I have something I think is very cool...

I finally got my hands on my grandfathers year book from his base in England. He was with the 401st Bomb Group, encompassing the 612th-615th Bomber Squadrons. Apparently, all the officers got together, chipped in, and had this made for everyone. It has tons of neat stories, photos of all the bombers nose art, pictures of all the crews, info on missions, and even picture of the sports teams at the base and so on!

I'm looking to scan some of these pages, but I probably won't be able to scan all of it. It's about 2 inches thick! Anything anyone would be particularly interested in seeing?

Cheers

That's a great book on the 401st!
It has some fabulous shots of the backs of some of the crew's A-2 leather Jackets with all the great artwork.
