Just got back from Midland late this afternoon. Had a great time flying the Skyraider there. Hope everyone enjoyed the show, we got to participate in both Korea and Vietnam part of the show. This was my first time at this show, it was great.

Any word/photo of the T-6 that ran up on the other, Snap On T-6, due to loss of brakes...

Not as bad as it first appears. Think that maybe TA can get by with a new rudder and new elevator. Already gone to Lance and procurred. The plane that ate TA needs a new prop at least and this might be harder to find in the short term.

I have seen OV-1s flying just once in my life, and that was at the 1981 Airsho.... I would certainly love to hear the sound of those engines again : )

Glad everyone who has posted enjoyed the Airsho. We had super weather and everything went off pretty much as planned. A special thanks to Doug and the Cavanaugh folks for the Mohawk: it was a challenge getting it here, but it certainly added a bunch to the show...Ditto to Eric Downing for the AD-5...the two Sandies made the VNam segment really spectacular. My friend Gregg's two helicopters made it really authentic. We will "do" the VNam segment again next year, and I'll be seeking info for some additional airplanes to add to it. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
The Dawn Patrol that Ryan talked about will be continued and expanded, so the little airplanes will feel more a key part of the show. I'm glad he liked it. I'll try to improve my briefing skills before next year!
Next year will be our 50th anniversary, so look for another something different in the show.

Bill, you forgot the H 13. Have you gotten the pictures yet further proof of the H 13's designation.

No excuses! I simply forgot to mention the "Best of Show" award-winning H-13...Three "Nam era helicopters really did wow the crowd. We gotta work on your "arrival to the hot LZ" approach however: the Huey driver really impressed with his stand-it-on its-tail manuever!
It was a great show and a great effort by many....and when I get the pix of Miss Airsho and you and the H-13 I'll see if I can't post them.
