The pilot of the Harrier GR.9 was a serving Officer in the Royal Air Force, the finest and best trained airforce on the planet.

At no point were either his life or the lives of the men he was overflying in any danger.

As you were

As was said before:

You can only tie the record for the world's lowest fly-by!

One of the finest pilots in the Air Force here, was killed performing stunts like that, except he killed the crew as well, in a B-52 crash in Spokane.

IIRC and I have the correct crash (the one which is vgiewable on the web) that guy was an accident waiting to happen and was about to be kicked out of the USAF.

It may not be the safest way of going aviating but then neither is going into combat.

And yes I have seen lower (Buccaneers over Red Flag comes to mind). The fact is the RAF are very happy at low level, they have been doing it for years very safely.

Still can't compete with this, jets don't have that 4 blade big a$$ prop to worry about and zero view to the front. Then again with 52.5 years behind the controls not too many people can.

Cheers Dave C

PS Jerry was trained by the best air force on the planet RCAF :D

Simply awesome!

All the above posted cry babies, Wah he's to low, it's not safe, go find another less exciting hobby. Perhaps scrap booking would be better, but use the round tip scissors to be safe.

Mike

He's definatly level with the cameraman, but the camera is also on a rise of some sort, as he is lookiing down on the spectators at the forward end of the clip. Not as low as the Spit pic!
Blue skies,
