Blue Angels "Dirty Roll"

Mon Aug 30, 2004 9:25 am

Flying the Long Nose Grumman F-11, in 1962 the team introduced 5 new maneuvers: Diamond Landing, Six Plane Delta Landing, Lead Solo's Dirty Roll On Takeoff, The Half Cuban-Eight, & The Farvel Formation (leader inverted in the Diamond Formation). Hopes this helps.

In 1970 flying the F4 Phantom, The Blue Angels started the following new Diamond maneuvers: Line-Abreast Loop Break, Echelon Landing, and the Inverted Fleur de Lis (Flight Leader Inverted). New Solo maneuvers: Opposing Dirty Roll On Take Off, Dirty Loop, and the Tuck-Away Break. Sorry I left that out on my previous post.
