The Museum is very interested in adding a C-119 to our aircraft line up as post WWII C-119s and cars (side by side) were built in the old Ford B-24 plant at our airfield.

last day in Greybull. We gathered up all our goodies into a pile and ran the A-26 once more before we head back to Phx in the morning. Carl Scholl of Aero Trader was here along with Donovan from Motoart. I did make it up to the north side and got pics of the planes up there and was even able to get into the PB4Y that was stored there. I have alot of pics I'll be sending out later this evening for posting. Our haul for the trip, 2 R-2600s, 6 propellers, 2 engine stands, 2 R-3350 QECs, a A-26, and sorry Michael, a C-119 from the movie the Flight of the Phoenix. I thought it was fitting the it would be going to Phoenix. There are several other C-119s up here.

Boy, would one of those make a great back yard garage/clubhouse for my vinatge Jeep! It's hard to figure out what to do with one of them, but it would be a great conversation piece!

The way that I understand it is that H&P sold off their assets to cover their debts and are no longer in business. However, my information is second hand and hopefully somebody else out there who knows more than I do can clarify the legal standing of H&P.

I can tell you that there was no activity around the former H&P shop when I was out there in August.

H&P is done. Serveral articles in the paper. Do a google search and you'll find them.

Are there any comparable business's size wise to H & P (engine overhaul )?. or was most of the work they performed for there own aircraft ? seeing the amount of engines & spare parts they had & the skills the staff must have had, it seems like era of the past has just disappeared into history.

H&P didn't do engine overhaul to the best of my knowledge.

A lot of the big engine overhaul places will likely be going out of business in the near future due to this whole air tanker issue. Rudy Blakey already liquidated their assets.
