Very interesting article that one. Sounds like it'd be a good way to get a very accurate reproduction of the original font and everything. They make it much more of a science than the simple electrical circuit board manufacture I've played with some years ago. Might have to experiment with this sometime.

It was great to meet you and see your project when I was there a few weeks ago. Many thanks for taking the time to see me. We ended up going to Flo's the next day for lunch. Have to admit we thought it was alright but then maybe we caught them on a good day! Thanks again mate.

That’s a pretty straight forward way of doing brass, and I bet PnP mylar would work with an aluminum etching solution. I’ve used gun bluing on, well, guns but I’ve never tried it on aluminum.

I’ve got some hydraulic actuators that I’ve overhauled, but the data plates on them are really ratty looking.
