USAAF Spitfire Mk. Vc JK947. Ebay Seller states: "Later reassigned to RAF No.253 Squadron and lost in 1944 with the pilot being listed as POW) parked on a airfield in Sicily, Italy. Lost 1944".

Reminds me of Spitfire 1a AR213 when it was the personal aircraft of 'Ginger' Lacey while he was an instructor at 57 OTU. Red, white and blue nose stripes; it'd be cool if it could be repainted like this in the future,
