This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

My 2 instrument panels are almost complete. I am having a terrible time getting the Airspeeds.
I bought 2 and they were returned unrepairable.
When visiting Aero Trader I saw one on a shelf but Carl wants to keep it for the next project.
I have searched Ebay many times.
One thing Carl said was that a bunch of people sold them to people so they could put it on their desk.
I am hoping that someone here knows where I can find one.
I am meeting someone who has 3 at Sun N Fun but he thinks they are all unrepairable.
I bought (2) F-82 700mph airspeeds from ebay. But when I tried to get the overhaul shop to reface over the Knots section and remove that needle they never to called me back, even though I had just spent over $7,000.00 with them, and my airplane will be experimental.
I actually need 4 as when going over the different airspeeds I found that for the last 41 years my P-51 has the F-82 airspeed as well. The fourth is for Hurry Home Honey which I fly for a friend of mine based on the other side of the airfield.
I am finding a little difficulty in flying 2 of the same aircraft with one being MPH and the other in knots.
Air Corp may have them but they are very pricey.
Right now I would be happy with 2 repairable airspeeds.

Looks like Fagen has them listed for a warbird-reasonable price. Of course there's reasonable, then aviation-reasonable, then the worst is warbird-reasonable!
https://www.fagenfightersrestoration.com/warbirds-instruments/type-f-2-airspeed-indicatorMost of what I've got is for old, slow airplanes but I'll look through what we have to see if we have a match. I'm excited to see your P-40 continue to advance!

Thanks for looking
I bought 2 from them and they both were rejected by the overhaul shop.

Thanks for the help
That is the one I purchased.
The correct one shouldn't have any knots needle. The overhaul shop refused to reface it and remove the needle. At Sun N Fun I will try to find someone who will.
I actually have one, but it is in an instrument panel from a P-38 that crashed in 1944.
