Owen Williams and California-Atlantic Airways

Fri Dec 13, 2024 2:10 pm

Owen Williams and his California-Atlantic Airways had much involvement in surplus B-17s and other types in the time period from 1949 to 1954. He and his company owned or operated seven B-17s in those years, as well as a number of other types such as a B-24 and P-38. Little information has been available about Williams or California-Atlantic, but I have now been in contact with his son, Patrick, and have added a post to my aerovintage website that contains the interesting biography of Owen Williams. I plan to do more posting with this new information on each of the B-17s he was involved with in through his varied flying career.
