We all know that the Hawaii Mars recently made its final flight to the BC Aviation Museum.

Key publishing (FlyPast, Aeroplane) just sent me this piece on the flight and how the museum prepared for its arrival and display.

https://www.key.aero/article/mission-ma ... e=hs_email

It is good to learn it is already out of the water and plans are being made for a proper hangar.

Hidden in the article is a brief mention that the other Mars, the Philippine Mars, will be making its ferry flight to Pima later this year.
I'd expect the Pima PR department to let us know beforehand so enthusiasts can see its (and the type's) final landing.

I'd have thought they'd release details by now answering the question on the minds of many...where in the desert can you land a large flying boat?

Theodore Roosevelt Lake is over 100 miles away from the museum. Does that mean it will have to be transported by road to get to there?

From the article ;

That’s where Roosevelt Lake comes in, a 22.4-mile long and 188-foot-deep lake created by the Theodore Roosevelt Dam pictured above damming the Salt River. The lake is large enough to accommodate the Philippine Mars. It has a marina to accommodate disassembly for trucking the Mars the 148 or so miles to the Pima Air & Space Museum – mostly along Arizona State Highway 77.
