Actually it was green when I first saw it, but they painted it black recently. Its at the University of Maryland and appears to be a Huey.

It looks like it has come interesting electronics in it. I wonder if there are any subminiature tubes in it.

Everyone should have an unguarded Huey in its own parking spot next to the woods.
Wait till the kids get a hold of this one...

When I first saw it there were more radio type modules in it. It looks like someone took some of them out. I'd be interesting in opening up one of them to see what's in it. It might have a lot of transistors in it and maybe some early ICs.

If this is already known, forgive me.On the Huey most of the radios were in the nose. What you see missing on the center control panel were the radio control heads.I think the FM and transponder heads and a couple others are still there. The interior and instrument panel was originally gray but was painted black when NVGs were introduced. The radios might still be in the nose compartment.

I took out the C 3835 control to see what was inside of it. I'm wondering where the transceiver is. Maybe someone took that out before.
