Amazing news to read on a Monday. Absolutely the best outcome that could happen for this LB-30. Often wondered if anyone would try to restore this one to fly. Now we know! And with the British / Canadian service history, I have to imagine a final destination maybe will be with the CWH or a group in the UK. But that's waaaaaaaaaaay off. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for this project.

But now I'm curious about Project Warbird's P-63 project. Is it now on hold or still in restoration?

No project, too big to start! :D
Kind of puts me in mind of Mike Kellners B-17 as it was being recovered.
I'm not saying it can't be done, but wow, this is a monumental undertaking.
Wishing the team all best of success. :drink3:

Thanks for posting those pics Randy.

WOW - that is awesome! With any luck and a whole pile of $$ this will be a flyer in 10-20 years!

I am very excited to see someone take this project on. I didn't realize the extent of its wartime history and am happy to hear they intend to restore it to its wartime appearance. All the best to the new owner with this ambitious project.

This is fantastic news! I guess I should change the original thread title to "The Case Of The REappearing LB-30!"
