Chanute Field New hangar.

Patuxent River, MD Naval air station.

"San Bernadino" is all the info there is for this one. Interesting the C-47 looks like a D-Day veteran.

Thanks for the B-10s at Chanute, Mark! The second image was displayed at the Chanute museum (they had it dated September 24, 1940); couldn't get a good shot because the flash kept reflecting back.
Was this Chanute photo in the batch you got? A-17A 38-347:

Again with the flash

Yes, I did see that photo Chris, it’s in the link I posted in the first post.

Interesting that in 1957 they were still using that early photo of the F-104 with the once secret intake comes hidden.
By they, they weren't classified and you could buy a plastic .79 model kit of the Starfighter.

Anyone else notice Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent on the Mustang's cowl?

So that’s how Santa delivers all those presents in one night!
Sure would be nice to see Fertile Myrtle fly again. Alas, I guess I’m lucky to have seen her do so at Chino many moons ago.

I saw the B-29 at Mountain Home, AFB....1978.
Seems like a million years ago!
I doubt if she'll fly again unless she goes to some sort of group. There is a reason why there were no private B-29s back in the day, too much money to operate one...even more than Weeks' money.
Anyone know if the Mustang survives?

Great stuff Mark! Love the Calendar!
I could see making a 2024 Calendar with the same artwork, just updated dates.
