Fagen Fighters just posted a update on their facebook page that the P-47 had a mechanical issue and will not be able to make it in today - but they sound like it shouldn't delay it very long... Mike

I was hoping it would be one on my, "I haven't seen it yet" list, but this is still great news. I'm happy for Fagen and team. They already have a world class museum, but it just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to get out there again to see it!!

Maybe in the future we can get a pilot report comparing the performance of the Hellcat and the Thunderbolt. Both are supposed to be easy to fly and land. Both have the NACA designed and recommended complicated cowling that puts the oil coolers in the cowling. (Maybe this is part of the reason the Hellcat is 20 mph slower than the Corsair.)
