Is there a bomb bay under that Cutlass, and what are the panels (?) that seem to be open under the trailing edge of the right wing?

The dangly bits are engine access doors and gear doors.

The two panels at the right wingtip are actuator access panels.

It really is too bad that better engines were not available and perhaps a little more technology for flight controls - the early model Cutlass really is a good looking plane!

These pictures are from the F7U-3 Maintenance Manual. They show the various materials used to construct the airplane. Aluminum was only one of the variety of materials that Chance Vought used for aircraft construction during that time period.
