Kermit Weeks A-26

This one already flew a few months ago for about 10 minutes. The canopy opened in flight and was damaged. It has since been repaired and is in the Aero Trader hangar having the other first flight squawks worked off.

Oh, I thought they'd had maintenance squawks that had prevented the first flight. Thanks for clarifying!

It's a new build T9 for Norwegian Flying Aces. It's being rebuilt at Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar.

The Spitfire is EN570, not 750

Judging by various online sources, it's a complete rebuild after being shot down by a FW-190, pilot KIA...
Oh, oh...don't tell anyone or they'll say it's not a restoration.

Thanks all, regarding my Spitfire enquiry, much appreciated. No wonder I could find nothing coming up when I googled EN750.

If the lotto had gone the way it SHOULD HAVE - - I'd have the funding to get at least one of those B-17 restorations really rolling along.

And dreaming, if I had that kind of $$ (billion dollar lotto win) I'd buy the LB-30 that World Jet (?) owns over in Colorado Springs and get that baby started on the road to flight.

Wendover Tom, wouldn't you have liked to purchase the Allen B-17E and fast tracked it's restoration? It will be gorgeous someday . Thanks for bringing up that LB-30 project. My vote is for someone to figure out how to purchase the "Lady B Good" from the Libyan government and use it and the LB-30 to bring another B-24 back to the air.

Spotting a video of the engine runs a few days ago reminded me of Mr. Mackley's original desire to fly her to Oshkosh. Any idea if that is still part of the discussion?
