This was my lunch time entertainment on Thursday. Marine Corps MV-22 came in for a Rolls-Royce recruiting event.

"927" flew over my house around noon today headed to San Marcos, Texas. Sounded really strong as we had the windows open in the house and you could hear it in a climb some distance away.

Both Lil and Fifi are going to be active around Texas for the rest of the month, doing three new PIC checkouts in each airplane as well as a couple FE checkouts in Fifi.

The Sheriff's department had their rescue Huey out, circling over the mountain foothills a couple miles from my home.
It's a remanufactured "Huey II".
I don't know if the basic airframe is a ex-UH-1H or civil 205.
I have been told by the chief pilot it was converted for the State Department, but they decided not to use it, so it went on a surplus list and the SO got it for next to nothing. Brand new and absolutely first rate.

Around the same time, one of their fully police outfitted (FLIR, video, etc) observation ex-OH-58s was in the area.
So, perhaps training or something happened (unlikely out here in thecountry).

Had a double treat today as Gunfighter wiz'd by my house returning from San Marcos, Texas around 2:45pm and '927' flew over about 3pm also returning from San Marcos as well.
Looking at FlightAware, Gunfighter was busy doing rides over the weekend which is good to see...

Yesterday afternoon I heard some booming around the West Valley a couple of times and assumed it was the NASA F-18 that likes to troll the valley gear down and full throttle.
A few minutes later I heard it coming and stepped outside to see a B-1 Lancer @1000' and on the throttle moving across the valley.
Low, loud and totally beautiful...... 8)

On 10/7 saw a locally-based T-28C taking off.
What makes this one a bit different, is it is painted in 1950s Yellow USN markings instead of the later Red/white which most Cs tend to be.

It reminds me of the old Monogram model kit box art...minus the green instrument trainer stripes seen on the box.

I really like the overall yellow. Any chance you got a pic of that C model?

Samaritans' Purse DC-8 N782PS passed over the UK yesterday, delivering charitable goodies to Poland presumably in support of Ukrainian refugees. Sadly way too far north for me to catch a glimpse, haven't seen any in probably 20 years. Looks like just eight still flying...

I know the owner, I'll see what I can do.
He also has a nice USAF "A" model in natural metal.

Royal Air Force Airbus A400M at 3550 AGL going 357 MPH near Niagara Falls. Very distinctive sound.

Here is the same A400M flying over my house southwest of Cleveland Ohio as RRR4518:
