C-47/DC-3(registration G-AMPY ex RAF KK116 and ex USAAF 43-49308), has left the UK bound for a new owner in the states, possibly in Oregon. Does anyone know its new American registration and owner please? Trying to find out for one of my friends in the UK. She's now somewhere between Iceland and Greenland heading west for the US.

A friend who is a close friend of the restorer/pilot tells me it is headed to the Seattle area.
He had hoped it would stop here enroute, but apparently the ferry, importation or registration paperwork specifies it has to be flown across Canada, only entering the U.S. near Seattle.
I don get it either...
