Thanks, Chris. Always enjoy your photos too. I am still learning my Digital Rebel. Gotta work on my shutter speeds to get good prop discs! What software do you use to build your web sites?

Hi Dan,

Good thing you weren't able to zoom in any closer on me, the reflection off the top of my head might have damaged your new camera. :D

I stayed until about 5:30 Sat. evening and then departed for home with a 2 1/2 hour ride. On Sunday I went to Moffett Field for another visit with the Collings Foundation bombers.

Next time your out this way, you'll need to plan some more time in the Bay Area, so you can visit the USS Hornet, Hiller Museum, Wings Of History, and Western Aerospace Museums. Eric should have sent you over to the Nut Tree Airport, to see some of the heavies on the ramp. So much to see, so little time, eh?

I build my sites with Dreamweaver 04. I have a bunch of database scripts on the backend that keep the galleries and content sections running.

My Watsonville link didn't work right, so you may have to copy and paste these.

"...and is a columnist for the American Aviation Holistic Society." Whazzat?

Thu Jul 27, 2006 6:28 pm

The editor was playing with the name of the group we used to belong to. Propely it should have said "Northern CA Chapter of the American Aviation Historical Society". He did that with all three of my articles, using a different play on names. He didn't know we had parted ways with AAHS national.

Our group of course is no longer called the NCC AAHS; as shown below we are now the Society for Aviation History

Finally got a page up from Merced at: http://www.sfahistory.org/merced2006.htm
