The Airbase Georgia rides tent was mysteriously returned to the Oshkosh Security Post yesterday...

Security cameras caught an image of the suspects...they were gray, had large eyes and 4 ft tall that resembled to a great degree the Roswell Aliens.

Guess they thought the tent was a ride aircraft and wanted to take it back to their home planet.

When they found out it didn't fly they dropped it back off on earth...

No apology note came with the tent...

Some pretty dopey aliens it seems...

Glad to hear the tent was returned.

Silly things happen after bar time in Wisconsin. Just ask Patty.

My guess was that everyone was packing up for the storm and someone's hired help took down the wrong tent and packed it away. Glad that it was returned.

Since it was mentioned earlier in this thread, here are some more photos just recently shared to the EAA AirVenture Flickr page of Pat Harker's immaculate L-13A. I believe its been flying since 1999, and I've been fortunate to see it several times over the years, both at its home airport in Anoka, MN, and at Oshkosh. It cruises at 95 mph and stalls at 35 mph. Thanks John, I was under the impression it was a recently finished restoration, I believe he has two?, thanks for the info. I'm quit enamored by them, but don't keep up with the flying ones. Not sure if there's a club or group for the type and honestly don't know how many are flying, FAA website shows ten registered but that does not mean they all fly.

Having seen Fagens F6F up close and personal about a month ago, I can say that the Grand Champion title was well deserved I do have a question though, was Dakota Territory Air Museums Hurricane not judged? That is a new restoration, I figured it would've placed somewhere.

I'm too lazy to sort through these further and post them here, so here's a link to about 100 photos I shot between Monday and Wednesday.

There are some great pictures there. The L-4 with the Brodie gear is interesting.

Thanks for posting!
