And I’ve been a good part of the blame. No excuses and no need to be this way. Especially here on WIX. We come here to discuss our passion for the old airplanes. At least I do.

The last few years have been an emotional roller coaster ride for many of us. WIX should always be a place to get away from all the craziness.

My apologies to all I’ve offended with my self indulgence in areas of controversy that have no business being discussed on WIX. I know better. Each of us has a right to believe what we choose to believe and no one has a right to debate those rights, especially me.

Hopefully no more politics (believe it or not I loathe politics). No more wise guy signatures at the bottom of my posts. FWIW no one put me up to posting this other than hopefully my conscious. Sometimes it’s fun to be a flawed person and more than sometimes it’s humiliating and embarrassing.

If anyone is still interested I’ll be happy to shut up and go back to posting some old airplane photos I have and still dig up.

No need for anyone to respond either positively or negatively. I’d hate to start another pointless flame war. I started one too many already on WIX. Enjoy WIX for what it’s meant to be and be grateful that Scott has been kind enough to keep it alive all these years. Great accomplishment on his part.

Back to Warbirds now.

Well I certainly want to respond positively Mark. Your posts are always interesting and one of the main reasons I always check this site out. It wouldn't be the same without your generous input.

Have I missed something here? I've never seen anything that needs apologising for.

Really enjoy your posts Mark, especially the "just dug out of the archives" photo threads.

Greatly appreciate the nice words.

But I also have to make sure the other members that I got into some flame wars with (over mostly political crap) know I was out of line. To them I apologize. They know who they are so no need to post their names here out of respect.

John Wayne once said, "Never apologize!, it's a sign of weakness" ....... lol, luckily I don't feel the same way.

Who's John Wayne? I bet in a few years the airport with his name on it will be gone. Maybe he should have apologized.

You can be a PITA Mark, but who can't be ?
No question but that you do come up with some quality posts, that makes up for your transgressions IMO.

I am incredibly disappointed by the content of this thread.

I have always enjoyed Marks photo posts and especially the on topic discussion they generate.

I was hoping for photos of strange, interesting and unknown to me TEST planes.

Instead it is all words but it is not too late for bringing it back on topic with some photos.
(by the more technically literate than I)

Mark,

Hopefully one day we can meet - in the meantime, your posts are a big contribution to my frequent visits to WIX. Thanks for the posts and generosity of soul. I look forward to seeing more for your posts!!
